Adela is a mestiza, a mother, ceremonialist, animist, Ayurvedic practitioner and medicine woman, who dedicates her life to Ayurveda and to the preservation and revitalization of indigenous wisdom from her Kichwa lineage of the Andes of Ecuador.

Rooted in the classical teachings of Ayurveda and informed by modern science, Adela’s work focuses on preventative care, clinical Ayurvedic practice, and natural therapies.

Her approach honors the branch of Rasayana — the rejuvenation sciences — focusing on protecting cognitive vitality, stabilizing hormones, and supporting bone and muscle integrity during perimenopause and beyond.

Her background in Ayurvedic nutrition, detoxification practices, women’s reproductive health, and plant-based therapies allows her to offer a comprehensive system of care that bridges ancient knowledge with contemporary science.

Through her one-on-one consultations, community rituals, justice work, and educational offerings, Adela helps women translate the language of Ayurveda into daily, embodied practice — integrating seasonal rhythms, circadian biology, and earth-based living.

Her work stands at the intersection of ancestral healing, neuroscience, and feminine wisdom, offering a deeply grounded and evidence-informed path toward longevity, resilience, and joy.

She currently resides in stolen lands of the Tongva, Gabrielenos tribes, today known as Los Angeles. She completed her initiation into the Red Path of the Lakota tradition in neighbor Chumash territory of the Central coast of California with her teacher Hua Anwa of Cherokee/Mexica/Mayan blood.

Adela was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador.

At 15 years old her first introduction into the world of spiritual healing came through the teachings of the master plants Ayahuasca and San Pedro of the Ecuadorian Amazon and the Andes respectively.

As daughter of colonization and resistance, she centers her core values on the one of the most important principles 0f the Andean Cosmovision:

THE SUMAQ KAWSAY

The Art of Good Living

Which promotes the idea that individual and collective wellbeing is achieved through harmony within nature and with one another - human, and more than human

With a degree in Film Studies and her great passion for the visual arts, she thrived for many years producing photo shoots for film marketing and for several musicians and artists.

After the birth of her daughters, Mia (17) and Lily (13) , she recognized the call of her land and welcomed the invitation to deepen her relationship with Ancient Medicines, pivoting towards the world of integrative healing.

Adela’s path and dharma are rooted in her South American lineage, she is deeply grateful for India and the teachings of Ayurveda and its sisters sciences of Yoga and Vedic Astrology, which became bridges that deepened the relationships to her indigenous roots and offered a pathway of return to the cosmovision of her original land.

WHAT MAKES ME UNIQUE

  • Lineage-Rooted: I walk with the voices of my ancestors—Ecuadorian, Andean.

  • Ritual as a Way of Life: I create transformational experiences that are both mystical and practical, sacred and accessible.

  • Embodied Feminine Cosmology: I teach from the feminine—not just about it—with language and presence that reawakens a lost remembering.

  • Justice-Aligned & Earth-Centered: My work is not separate from freedom work. It is woven with social, spiritual, and ecological justice.

  • Bilingual + Bicultural Depth: I offer a bridge between South and North, Indigenous and modern, oral wisdom and structured learning.
